Albert Einstein HS Interact Club spreads Holiday Cheer in December

This December, the AEHS Interact Club has been busy spreading holiday cheer and giving back to the community through meaningful volunteer initiatives.

December 10th: Winter Wonderland at A Wider Circle

Right after school on December 10th, the Interact Club headed to A Wider Circle in Silver Spring to volunteer for their annual Winter Wonderland event. This holiday initiative focuses on organizing and sorting new toys for kids and teens in need, helping bring joy to families during the holiday season.

December 14th: A Change of Plans

On December 14th, the Interact Club had originally planned to wrap gifts for the Community Bridges Adopt a Family Program in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Downtown Silver Spring. This initiative provides food and gifts to families in need, and the Interact members were excited to lend a hand. However, plans took an unexpected turn. The first shift of volunteers had already completed much of the wrapping before the Interact Club arrived, so they quickly pivoted. The group embraced the opportunity to write heartfelt cards for seniors and cancer patients as part of the "Kits to Heart" program. Then they baked and decorated cookies for Shepherd’s Table, a local homeless shelter.
